200 EAST 63RD STREET BUILDING
In 2007, the Second Avenue Subway resumed construction. As part of the project, the 63rd street station was to undergo renovation to finish the BMT side, which would serve Second Avenue Line trains. Due to the station construction several existing buildings need to be retrofitted to provide entrance/exit facilities. 200 East 63rd Street is one such building that needed partial removal of existing foundation and installation of pile foundation. All this was completed while the building was occupied.
